Responsibilities:
Prepare, check and approve Procurement related documents including material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, recommendations and vendor drawing reviews.
Assist Lead/Chief/HOD to prepare engineering control documents including deliverables lists, manhours estimates, project programs, IDC coordination and technical reviews. Manage assigned work scope to these control documents,
• Participate in the development of technical and project execution estimates and proposals and defend the basis of these estimates.
Assume other duties as may be required by the company from time to time. Support Chief Engineer/ HOD by conducting technical audits
Impact and Accountability
Impact: Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. Risk extends across departmental interfaces to other engineering disciplines and to project functions such as Procurement and Construction.
Accountability: Accountable to the Lead Engineer / Chief Engineer / HOD for the technical accuracy, scope management and quality of own work and for the work of assigned team(s). Accountable for hours and material budgets associated with own workscope and that of an assigned team(s).
HSE and Qualitv Responsibilities
Maintain standards of HSE and comply with Company's Health, Safety & Environment Management System requirements. Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace. Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements. Maintain record/ evidences to depict compliance with Company procedures.
Requirements:
English - advanced level
• BSEng or equivalent Civil/Structural Engineering Degree from an accredited University.
Minimum 7-8 years of relevant experience in a professional technical capacity involving specification, design and checking in an engineering consultancy or EPC company within the oil & gas industry.
Must demonstrate extensive knowledge of civil, concrete, buildings and structural steelwork on industrial projects.
Must possess a working knowledge of upstream and downstream oil & gas and/or petrochemical units and operating principles. Other industry specific knowledge may be acceptable on a location-by-location basis.
Site construction and commissioning experience is an advantage.
